Featured Talks:

Karl Anderson - Aquachoppers of C.H.U.N.K. 666
C.H.U.N.K. 666 is a mutant bike club and civic betterment society.  We saw bikes apart, weld them together again, ride them, and destroy them.  In our younger days we hosted large gladiatorial events; these days we go on rides, the most recent of which was an amphibious bike ride and camping trip to Ross Island.

Sara Badiali - The Reclamation Administration
The Reclamation Administration is a website dedicated to the dissemination of information that prevents the unnecessary waste of construction and demolition materials through Building Material Reuse and Recycling.  The RA is based in the Portland, Oregon Metro Region, but the focus is on all reclaiming and recycling of building materials news.

Carl Diehl - Glitch Studies
Join the brains behind this month’s show at galleryHOMELAND for a tour of the exhibition.

Laura Moulton - Street Books
I operate Street Books, a bicycle-powered mobile library for people who live outside. All summer I lent books to library patrons, and learned about their own stories. The project was initially funded with a grant from the Regional Arts & Culture council, but the plan is to continue to operate the library through the fall and winter.

Dustin Zemel - Recent Work
Dustin Zemel is a video artist exploring concepts of media literacy through the re-contextualization of popular media. He is the founder of Grand Detour, a contemporary gallery, classroom, and microcinema dedicated to building a community around Portland's burgeoning experimental media scene. He teaches classes on experimental techniques at NW Documentary.

Information for the good of the order:
Take note! We will no longer be providing plates! Cups and utensils will be limited!  Brunch generates so much waste that we're determined to make it more eco-friendly. Every brunch generates about 10 pounds of paper and plastic trash. Let's change that!

Here's our plan:
1. If you can, please, bring your own plate, cup, and utensils

2. If you can't, we will provide big lettuce-leaf bowls, or re-used cardboard sheets for plates

3. We'll bring a limited amount of silverware and drinking vessels. If you use one, you have to wash one at the end!

We can do it!
